District court of Prohladniy town (KBR) considered the town citizen Vladimir Nagovitzin to be a descendent of baron Ieronim Fon Muenchhausen, reported to “Interfax-South” agency on Wednesday a source in the court.
Nagovitzin had represented the court historical papers according to which in July, 1739 in Saint-Petersburg baron Muenchhausen met princess Golitsina and as a result of their romantic meeting was birth of a bastard daughter. Trying to avoid a scandal, the princess gave the child to grow up in the family of Cossack ataman Nagovitzin. Thus, in the Muenchhausens’ genealogic tree a Russian branch appeared.
The baron’s descendent got a new passport with new name Nagovo-Muenchhausen.
The New Year he met firing a volley from a double-barreled cannon of his own manufacture that fires with pickled cucumbers and rotten eggs. As Nagovo-Muenchhausen explained to “Interfax-South” agency, his cannon fires without gunpowder.
