In Maykop on April 28th conference of the fellow-villagers of Teuchezhsky district at which delegates to the extraordinary congress of Adygeyan people planned for May 21st passed. With the main report member of the active of Circassian congress, member of the organizing committee Asker Namitokov spoke. He told in particular that on the eve communities of the fellow-villagers from concrete auls gathered their assemblies in the town where they organized promotion of delegates for the congress. At the conference they had to approve or reject the nominees.
The lecturer explained why, in the organizers’ opinion, the carrying out of the congress had not been withdrawn from the agenda. During that time while the question of liquidation of Republic of Adygeya was exaggerated, in the legislation of Russia they made some changes that complicated the process of the regions’ integration. The management of the Southern Federal district made in that occasion corresponding statement. But mechanisms of such liquidation remained effective. Therefore Adygs all the same need to state their attitude to the problem.
The conference chose 56 delegates of the congress. At conference they noted that presence of inhabitants of Teuchezhsky district at the congress would not be stopped with that — in the district at the moment there are assemblies at which delegates directly from auls are promoted.
