Gambling institutions of Adygeya continue working in the usual mode because the republican law limited their functioning, lost its force from the moment of coming into force of the federal law. The head of the press-service of the Office of Public Prosecutor of Adygeya Vasily Guk informed that to «Caucasian unit” correspondent.
As he said, the republican legislators created such position in item 1 of the law. And as to the similar federal law (which does not cancel the regional laws) that position does not operate in Adygeya for already specified reason – not federal, but the republican law limited the action.
At the same time, the head of the press-service notified, now in Adygeya it would be enough: at the level of the parliament – to pass a new law, at the level of the Cabinet – a governmental decision, or to the Adygeya president to sign a decree that restrictions (officially stated, for example, by the republican law) would be adopted to execution.
Let’s remind, during Khazret Sovmen’s presidency in Adygeya the decree about restriction of the gambling activities was signed, there were corresponding decisions of the Cabinet, too. However it had not made expected results. In August of the last year the republican public organizations initiated adoption of the corresponding law of Adygeya. The document was adopted in October of the last year. Proceeding from its positions, any gambling institution of the republic had not the right to continue working.
On March 4th the youth of Adygeya committed the pogrom in 10 gambling institutions of Maykop and 4 — in Belorechensk. According to the Office of Public Prosecutor, in that attack nearby 130 youngsters participated.
On March 6th the republican public held a joint session devoted to the problem of gambling activities again. At the session pogrom was condemned, but at the same time they named it «a social protest of youth”.
