A.Sokurov opens cinema workshop in Kabardino-Balkaria

For the first time at the Kabardino-Balkarian state university and in Northern Caucasus as a whole the outstanding Russian cinema director Alexander Sokurov forms his workshop of cinema and TV directors at newly opening faculty. Five will be taken onto the budgetary places, the others can study on the contract basis.

Sokurov is going to involve film-directors, cameramen, scripwriters, cinema theorists, actor’s skill teachers and producers from Europe, America and Russia to the work with students of the workshop. The management of the university will create all the conditions for make for the students of the workshop of Sokurov the same opportunities, as the listeners of the best film-schools of the world.

During the study practice of students in cinema and teleprojects of Russia and Europe is planned. Selection to the workshop will be personally organized by Alexander Nikolaevich Sokurov.
