Adygeya plans increase of labour migrants’ quota

Adopted by the State Duma of Russian Federation on September, 12th norms on simplification of citizenship reception for the compatriots of Russia living abroad, will not affect the migration process in Adygeya. Any change can be caused with an increase of the quota of labour migrants in it.

As the chief of the external labour migration and immigration control department (ELMICD) of Russian Federation across Adygeya Sergey Dushin explained to “Caucasian unit” correspondent, the necessity of increasing the quota for labour migrants in the republic was declared on September, 23rd by the chief of the republican Department of the federal migratory service Alexander Ivashin at the session of the interdepartmental commission.

The increase, as he said, is planned up to 465 people and it would be made according to the questionnaires. At the session of the interdepartmental commission Ivashin mentioned the sharp growth of the number of the wishing to receive temporary registration in the republic and explained it with the migratory appeal of the region.

“In this case it is a question of the temporary residing, — Dushin explained. — Besides whether actually this increase is made, it will be decided at the federal level. The interdepartmental commission proves such necessity, and whether it is approved by the federal center, will become known on November, 30th”.

Under the amendments adopted by the State Duma to “Law on citizenship of Russian Federation”, the interlocutor told, they would concern only those 11 regions which were fixed in the program of the compatriots voluntary resettlement to Russia.

In the end 2006, in the beginning of 2007, he reminded, the republican departments were engaged in the working out of the corresponding republican program, but the Government of Russian Federation sent then the reply that the all-Russian program would be implemented stage by stage, and Adygeya, probably, would start working under the program in 2010. Nevertheless all the regions of Russia would be involved in the resettlement process up to 2012.

Let’s note, nowadays the immigrants are accepted by 11 regions: Primorsky, Khabarovsky and Krasnoyarsky territories, as well as the Kaliningradskaya, Amurskaya, Tyumenskaya, Irkutskaya, Tverskaya, Kaluzhskaya, Tambovskaya and Lipetskaya regions.
