April 28. The delegation of the Europarliament visited Gali area of Abkhazia with a fact-finding visit. The delegation was headed by the chairman of the Europarliament commission on Southern Caucasus Mari Anna Isler Beguin.
The Europarliament deputies met the plenipotentiary of the Abkhazian president in Gali area Ruslan Kishmaria, the deputy minister of foreign affairs Daur Kove, as well as local not governmental organizations.
The Europarliament representatives were interested in the opinion of the Abkhazian authorities concerning the offers of the president of Georgia on the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict settlement. They also interested in the questions of development Gali area, the Georgian language’s learning in the area and so on.
«The next time the representatives of the Euro authorities were interested, how we see our future, how we concern to the Georgian offers on the conflict settlement. We have declared again that Abkhazia will never return into structure of Georgia and that we are ready to conduct dialogue and to build bilateral good-neighbourhood», — Ruslan Kishmaria said after the meeting «Apsnypress».
