Evgenie Sijuhov, a doctor-urologist, for quite some time had taken a great interest in Adygeyan patrimonial tamgs. As he told TV-journalists, for 4 years he managed to collect about 4000 family tamgs. First, he recollected, he did that as though for fun – he questioned his friends, familiar people, even his patients. Gradually he began concerning more seriously to his hobby, as those whom he asked.
The collected tamgs, basically of the local Circassians, Sijuhov keeps in his computer. At first for saving in the computer his next «find» he needed his children’s assistance. Now to «manufacture» some new tamg, even a difficult sample, it takes him several minutes.
The author of the collection had not thought yet of the way of disposing his property. He considers meanwhile that it is not the time to give his work for scientists’ estimation. On the other hand — now he is ready to share with those who do not know his family tamgs. And he is ready to fill up his archive due to those who know that.
