The car with the head of Krasnogvardeysky area administration of Adygeya Murat Kudaev in was shot with Kalashnikov’s automatic guns by people dressed in camouflage (according to the other version — in militian uniform) on September 25th. In Adygeya capital that day he had participated in the session of the cabinet and left the town approximately at 16:00, as witnesses informed IА REGNUM correspondent. As it was reported on the republican TV, the attack was committed already in the area that he supervised. Kudaev was shot dead; at the moment there is no information about other victims. The basic version of the murder is connected with his professional work.
Let’s note: Murat Kudaev headed Krasnogvardeysky area since the moment of coming to power of the present Adygeya president Khazret Sovmen. During the presidential crisis in the republic (on April 4-17th) Sovmen named him as one of his possible political successors. He gave reason that his protege had well very demonstrated his business qualities during the liquidation of consequences of the scale flooding in 2002. As a whole, Kudaev was one of the most «imperceptible» (in relation to of his conflictness) among the heads of the area administrations.
As the chairman of the republican public organization «Nafna» Askerby Namitokov commented to IА REGNUM correspondent, in Adygeya there hadn’t been ‘loud’ murders for a long time. They were dated to the last time of being in powers of the first president of the republic Aslan Dzharimov. «Why they chose the one who was had the least conflict and arrogant character, — is not clear, — said Namitokov. — But the fears that the murder was committed as common warning, it appears, shouldn’t be dismissed».
