In Jalova town (Turkey) on January 25 the assembly of the local Khase organization officially named «Unity of Circassians (Adygs) of Jalova» will be held. Adygeyan Internet-agency «Nart» informed that. At the session the report of the executive committee is planned; there will be elections, and the program of the Khase will be also discussed. The same day they plan the voting on the question about joining of Jalova Khase the Khase Federation of Turkey (Kafder) that now has about 60 organizations in its structure.
Let’s note, practically all the Adyghe Khase of Turkey officially named “Caucasian”: Caucasus, Unity of Caucasus, Culture of Caucasus, etc. At the same time the other Caucasian peoples have their own national organizations, called accordingly: Abkhazian, Chechen, Dagestan and so on.
The question, why the Adygeyan organizations were named Caucasian, in Turkey, as a rule, they say that the word “Caucasian” comprises some ideological component — Caucasus must be united. Other people remark that the use in the names of the public organizations ethnonims «Adyg» or «Circassian» is complicated by resistance of the Turkish officials.
