The referendum on creation of Abasin area will pass in Karachaevo-Circassia on December, 25th. On it on October, 31st IА «Interfax» informed referring to the chairman of the election commission of KCR Safar Gerjukov. The decision on carrying out of the referendum was made by the council of deputies Psyzhsky and Cuban rural settlements according to the Federal law «About the general principles of local self-management”.
As he said, voters should answer, whether they agreed formation of Abasin area by association of auls Psyzh, Cubina, Inzhich-Chukun, Alburgan, Kara-Paga, farm Druzhba and settlement Zarechny. At present those settlements are into structures of the three different areas of the republic — Prikubansky, Ust-Djegutinsky and Habezsky.
Besides simultaneously with the decision on creation of Abasin area the decision on formation of Nogajsky area was made. The decision on carrying out of the referendum on creation of Nogajsky area is not made yet.
