The members of the council of the public associations of Maykop town unanimously supported the initiative of Adygeya capital management in relation to construction of a monument for Maykop citizens — Heroes of the Soviet Union. «Members of the council of the public organizations of Maykop offer to not refuse the idea of creation of one more monument in Ziuzin’s street, where creation of a monument to the Heroes had been originally planned and a mortgage stone had been fixed», — it was stated in the final part of the reference.
In the document they also expressed assurance that «the splendid idea of perpetuating of the memory of the Heroes will be supported by all inhabitants of multinational Maykop».
Let’s remind, the new place of the Heroes’ monument’s construction is the square on the joint of the two main micro-districts of the town — «Centre» and «Cheremushki». That is the place where in the summer of 2005 the picketing then organizations «Adyghe Khase» and «Circassian congress» stopped construction of the monument devoted to Nicolay Miracle-maker. Let’s remind, that monument is now in the territory of the military unit, situated in Maykop.
