Today, on January, 5th, in the capital Karachaevo-Circassia Cherkessk public discussions of the project of the town charter were dated, they informed IА REGNUM correspondent in the press-service of the town administration. The project of the town’s charter had been published in the local press before the New Year’s holidays. Discussion of the new charter will pass with participation of deputies of the municipal Duma (town parliament), public figures and ordinary townspeople. The old Charter of Cherkessk was recognized illegal in the Supreme Court of Karachaevo-Circassia because of its discrepancy with the federal legislation.
