As it became known to «Caucasian unit» correspondent today, lawyer Iskhak Kuchukov addressed to the Supreme qualifying board of judges of Russian Federation with application for termination of powers of Jury Mairov, as the chairman of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria, and a judge, «for actions dishonoring advantage of judge and belittling judicial authority».
As an occasion for the reference was that Jury Mairov had recommended for the post of judge a man, who worked as a judge in one of areas, and forged documents, so had been compelled to retire. The chairman of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria, knowing that fact had introduced him again to the Qualifying board for work of a judge.
Making comments on the situation, lawyer Iskhak Kuchukov informed that the Supreme qualifying board of judges of Russian Federation repeatedly considered Jury Mairov’s personal case for termination of his powers.
In January 2002 his powers of the chairman of the Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria were ended. Later he restored.
I.Kuchukov repeatedly criticized the judicial authority in Kabardino-Balkaria, openly naming it corrupted: «Judicial system of KBR is transformed into a big trading pavilion, where each court is a commercial stall».
