Checks of authorized activities of religious organizations in Karachaevo-Circassia had shown that three mosques — in Karachaevsk town, aul Uchkulan and settlement Dombai — actually do not work. On it the check’s participant, KCR president representative on communications with religious organizations Evgenie Kratov informed IА REGNUM correspondent. «We have recommended them either to be closed, or to renew religious service in the temples», — he noted.
In the checks of authorized activities of 23 religious organizations registered in the area, employees of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB department across Karachaevo-Circassia, representatives of Karachaevo-Circassian president administration took part. The commission had come to conclusion that in all the checked up mosques they preached «traditional Islam».
