Maykop town court adjudged Kazabek Isaev. The convict about a pretended the administrative agent of Chechen Republic’s president in Adygeya. As they informed IA REGNUM correspondent in the Adygeya Office of Public Prosecutor, Isaev was prosecuted according to 7 clauses of the Criminal Code among which there were: extortion, fraud and keeping weapon.
The sitting of the court was private. The prosecution wanted Isaev to be punished 15 years of deprivation of liberty. Reading of the court verdict took 3 hours. The result was 9 years of high security. The condemned did not admitted his guilty, and the legal defence intends to appeal the decision. The Office of Public Prosecutor also plans to impugn– as too “light” verdict. From among the 7 items of charge during the litigation only 4 remained; they concerned the facts of extortion. According to the investigatory materials, Kazbek Isaev is an ex-sportsman. He was engaged in charity activities extorting money of businessmen.
