IА REGNUM goes on interrogating of opinions of Islamic spiritual leaders of Russia concerning the recent statement of the Head of the Spiritual management of Moslems of the Asian part of Russia Nafigulla Ashirov, opposed the orthodox symbolics in the State Emblem of Russian Federation and the state symbolics, as the factor offending feelings of adherents of the other religions.
The chairman of the coordination council of Moslems of Northern Caucasus, mufti of KCR and Stavropol Territory Ismail Berdiev condemned Ashirov’s position, having named his statement an artificially created problem. «We mustn’t create other problems — they are enough without it,” — declared mufti Ismail Berdiev to IА REGNUM correspondent, — We pray to God, instead of an emblem. The fact that the Russian State Emblem has symbols of Orthodoxy offends Moslems or strikes their rights in no way. We accepted this country, its law, so, we should accept the state symbols, too».
