NUF of Abkhazia condemns attempt at imam of Sukhum mosque

Comment of the Republican party “National Unity Forum of Abkhazia” (“NUFA”)

The Republican Party “National Unity Forum of Abkhazia” condemns the attempt for an act of terrorism concerning the employee of «Spiritual management of Muslims” of the Republic of Abkhazia, the imam of Sukhum mosque Kvaratskhelia Salih Rushbeevich.

The attempt of the mentioned crime as a result of which women or children could also suffer, no matter who and for what reasons had planned it, is outside any morals and morals.

Abkhazia never was a place of an antagonism of the world religions – the Orthodoxy and Islam; as following this or that belief is the issue of everyone’s conscience. We welcome good undertakings of representatives of various faiths, directed on advantage of the People of Abkhazia. We also condemn any provocations, no matter from whom they had proceeded, aimed on undermining the unity of our people.
