Another two men wounded as a result of the explosion in the town of Gal in Abkhazia — a translator of the United Nations Mission in Gali sector and the Abkhazian frontier guard — died, the number of the victims reached four people.
Earlier it had been informed about two victims, as seven victims appeared to be in a grave condition in s hospital.
As the plenipotentiary of the president of Abkhazia in Gali area Ruslan Kishmaria informed the journalists, as a result of the heavy wounds the acting chief of Gali branch of the State security service and a local inhabitant died, too, ITAR-TASS reported.
The explosion thundered on Sunday at 10:58 p.m. of Moscow time in a cafe in the town centre of Gal. According to the preliminary data, in the cafe in the center of Gal a non-surfaced explosive device blown up, «Interfax» informed.
«According to the first conclusions of the experts, in the cafe in Gal a non-surfaced explosive device blown up which capacity is being established now», — the plenipotentiary of the president of Abkhazia in Gali area Ruslan Kishmaria informed.
He also added that a criminal proceeding was instituted in communication with the explosion under clause “terrorism”.
The leader of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh named the explosion in Gali a continuation of the terrorist war of Georgia. “The explosion in Gali is an act of terrorism directed on destabilization of the situation in the region. This explosion is a continuation of the circuit of the acts of terrorism in Gagry and Sukhumi”, — Bagapsh declared on the night of Monday.
