As IА REGNUM correspondent informed, a solemn opening of a new mosque on October, 4th took place in aul Gabukay (Teuchezhsky district of Adygeya). That is already the second mosque’s opening for last week, and the 33-rd — under the account in the republic. The mosque had been building almost 15 years; the work used to be interrupted repeatedly. At the first stages of its construction the financial help was rendered by the aul inhabitants, then businessmen and representatives of Adygeyan foreign diaspora joined.
Celebratory ceremony with a pray was opened by the imam of Adygeysk town Mejveddin Abbazi. The solemn ceremony lasted for several hours – there had been many people who wanted to hold a speech. Generally they told about those who had helped to build the mosque. Among the sponsors the head of minicipal body “Teuchezhsky district” and a director of one of the building enterprises of Adygeya were mentioned. According to the statement of the Spiritual management of Moslems of Russia the mufti of Adygeya and Krasnodar Territory Nurby Emizh handled them gold medals.
The mosque in aul Gabukay is supposed be not only a place for common prayings but also a Moslem school where everyone might learn Arabic language.
