A planned command-staff training “Actions of the troops control bodies at repulsing aggression of a probable enemy” took place n the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia
The deputy Chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia, the chief of the operational department Colonel Alexander Antipov told Apsnypress that control bodies of the Defense Ministry, the Joint Staff, the East Army Group, the Air Forces, staffs of military units, signal office centers took part in the training.
During the training questions of repulsing outside aggression as well as questions of defense and counterattack were perfected.
According to Antipov, the task set to raise the level of the control bodies’ skills was fulfilled.
“The training has been conducted according to the plan of combat training for 2009. This year it has coincided with the August events in the Kodori Valley anniversary. If last year the Armed Forces of Abkhazia solved problems of forcing the Georgian troops out of the Valley, today, taking into account that Abkhazia is a peaceful country, the army perfects the defense questions”, Colonel Antipov said.
