Prime minister of Abkhazia: «budget 2006 is not a budget of development»

«The state budget for 2006 is not a budget of development, and, still, is traditionally fiscal». That was declared during the parliament session by the prime minister of Abkhazia Alexander Ankvab. At the same time, as he said, in the document there were those «ideas» which «should be developed during next years».

As IА REGNUM correspondent in Sukhumi reported, at the session Ankvab supported the necessity of increasing of administrative and financial discipline.

«If each minister, each chairman of state committee, head of administration or an official of any level is daily engaged in nuances of the budget, I think, we will have built serious prospects for 2007», — the head of the Abkhazian government told.

The last months as Ankvab noted, had shown that «a habit to spend budgetary money as it occurs, is not lost yet». The prime minister did not begin naming heads who allowed that themselves, but still remarked that if money was not returned in the beginning of 2006 it would personally sign a letter to the general public prosecutor about institution against such persons criminal proceedings.

«If we direct money from the republican budget or from other sources for financing of social sphere that money should have been precisely spent for corresponding purposes. That money has nothing to do with either to tea or trade, or construction. If we make it the daily requirement for ourselves personally as for managers, and demand that from our subordinates, well-being of our budget will grow», — summarized the prime minister.
