The deputy commander-in-chief of the Land forces of Russia on peace-making forces general-lieutenant Valery Evnevich was not allowed passing from Tbilisi to Abkhazia where on Sunday an echelon with division of Russian 15-th separate peace-making brigade should have arrived.
«General-lieutenant Evnevich went to Sukhumi through the western Georgia but, on our data, on one of posts he was not allowed moving farther, and now he’s coming in Sukhumi through Vladikavkaz and Sochi», — informed on Saturday a representative of the staff of the CIS Collective peace-making forces (CPMF) in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone.
«We do not know the reason of interdiction for his travel; general Evnevich had all necessary papers, including the visa», — the agency’s interlocutor said.
As a source noted, Evnevich’s arrival in Sukhumi was expected in the morning on Sunday. At 10:00 a.m. on December, 18th in Abkhazia an echelon with peacemakers of the 15-th brigade should have arrived.
