In Istanbul on an old building’s attic photo of group of first Circassians-immigrants was found

In Istanbul on an attic of an old building a photo of a group of Circassians of the time of their exile from Caucasus was found. The photo is being multiplied and demonstrated to the local Circassians, however meanwhile nobody can define the men on the photo. Its copy also appeared at Adygeya republican institute of humanitarian researches (ARIHR) of Tembot Kerashev’s name.

As employees of the institute informed, in the lower part of the photo there is an inscription in Turkish language from which it appears that on the photo there are not representatives of any other Caucasian people but Circassians. Literally the writing under the photo says: “Representatives of the first generation of the Circassians who had moved to Istanbul in 1880”.

The ARIHR administration asked to respond people who have any data concerned the persons photographed on that photo by e-mailing to the address of the institute:
